       Installation of the Official 'CHASM - THE RIFT' Theme:


******      Note!!! You must have the Microsoft Plus! Pack for      ******
                      Windows'95 already installed.

*****     You must also be running in High Colour or True Colour     *****


All you have to do to get the CHASM -THE RIFT theme running is this:

1. Unzip the Chasm Theme (high colour).zip file into your "Themes"
   directory.(This MUST be C:\Program Files\Plus!\Themes)  Make
   sure that the option to "Create stored directory structures" is on
   and you are using an Unzip program that supports long filenames
   (e.g. WinZip V6.2).  What you should then find in the Themes directory
   is a folder named "Chasm Theme".

   Note: I have put all of the theme files into a single subdirectory.
   This will be C:\Program Files\Plus!\Themes\Chasm Theme
   This directory path and name must NOT be changed.

2. After unzipping the files all you have to do is open the
   "Chasm Theme" folder and double click on the
   "Chasm - The Rift (high colour).theme" icon.
   This will open the "Theme Control Panel" setup window.

3. You may want to untick the bottom 2 boxes ("Font names and styles"
   and "Font and window sizes") to keep your own fonts, sizes etc.

4. Click Apply and then OK and That's it.

To install the Chasm - The Rift Theme Screen Saver copy the file
"Chasm Theme Screen Saver.scr" from the "Chasm Theme" Folder to c:\windows

To change the settings for the screen saver go to "control panel/display"
and click the screen saver tab. Make sure the Screen Saver is set to
"Chasm Theme Screen Saver" and click the settings button.

The best settings are:

   Kind of Lens = Black Hole
   Lens Size = 300
   Speed = 2
   Mass = 1.00
   Flip Background = Not Ticked
   Use Wallpaper = Ticked

Feel Free to play around and find your own settings.

To replace the Startup and Shutdown screens for Windows '95:

**********      Note!!! Backup the following files first:       **********

   C:\LOGO.SYS, C:\WINDOWS\LOGOS.SYS, C:\WINDOWS\LOGOW.SYS

   then copy logo.sys from the "Chasm Theme" Folder to c:\
   and copy logos.sys and logow.sys to c:\windows.

                          (It's really easy).
